Sirui ST124 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod & VA-5 X Fluid Head Kit

The Sirui ST124 and VA-5X Kit is a travel-ready, weather-sealed carbon fiber tripod system designed for creators on the move. Featuring a unique space-saving triangular center column and a professional fluid video head, it delivers cinema-smooth pans and tilts in a lightweight package that easily straps to a backpack.

The Ultimate Travel Companion for Creators

The Sirui ST124 and VA-5X Kit is engineered to provide professional-grade stability for mirrorless cameras, compact DSLRs, and lightweight video rigs without the traditional bulk of a cinema setup. By pairing lightweight carbon fiber legs with a precision fluid head, this system delivers a highly portable solution that easily straps to the side of a daypack. It is the ideal support system for outdoor videographers, travel vloggers, and wildlife observers who need to move quickly without compromising on stability.

Innovative Triangular Center Column

At the core of the tripod’s space-saving design is its unique triangular center column. Unlike traditional round columns that force the legs to sit further apart when folded, this geometric design allows the four-section carbon fiber legs to pack down tightly against the center. This engineering achievement reduces the folded diameter significantly, resulting in a remarkably slim 18.9-inch profile that is exceptionally easy to grip and transport.

Weather-Sealed Durability for Extreme Environments

Built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, the ST124 features advanced weather-sealed twist locks on every leg section. These tight seals are specifically designed to keep out water, mud, fine dust, and sand, allowing creators to confidently deploy the tripod in shallow rivers, muddy trails, or windswept dunes. This level of environmental protection ensures the internal mechanisms remain clean and smooth, extending the lifespan of the equipment in the field.

Cinema-Smooth Fluid Motion

The included VA-5X aluminum fluid video head elevates the production value of any shoot by providing exceptionally smooth pan and tilt controls. An internal spring-loaded counterbalance mechanism supports the weight of the camera, preventing sudden drops and making it effortless to maintain steady framing at various tilt angles. This fluid resistance is essential for capturing sweeping landscape shots or accurately tracking fast-moving wildlife without stuttering.

Universal Arca-Type Compatibility

Streamlining the workflow between different camera supports, the VA-5X head utilizes a widely accepted Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release system. This allows shooters to mount their cameras using existing L-brackets or third-party photography baseplates without needing to swap out proprietary video hardware. A dual-lock safety mechanism is also built into the base, ensuring that the camera cannot accidentally slide off the head during fast adjustments.

Expandable Setup for Professional Accessories

Modern video production often requires more than just a camera, and the ST124 accommodates this by featuring integrated accessory ports directly on the leg spider. Built-in 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounts allow users to attach articulating friction arms, external field monitors, LED lights, or directional microphones directly to the base. This eliminates the need for bulky camera cages and keeps the overall center of gravity low and stable.

Adaptable to Any Terrain and Angle

Versatility is critical in the field, and this kit adapts to any environment with easily interchangeable footing and leg positioning. The standard rubber feet provide excellent grip on smooth indoor surfaces, while retractable steel spikes can be exposed to bite into ice, loose dirt, or grassy hillsides. Furthermore, the center column can be completely inverted or removed, allowing the independent legs to splay wide for ultra-low-angle macro photography or dramatic ground-level video shots.
