Insta360 X6 360° 8K Camera Essentials Bundle Overview

The Insta360 X6 360° 8K Camera Essentials Bundle is a flagship, pocket-sized action camera built for high-resolution immersive video. Powered by dual Sony custom 1/1.1" sensors and a triple AI processing chip system, it captures native 8K 360° video at up to 50fps, native in-camera Dolby Vision, and enhanced low-light footage via PureVideo mode.

Next-Generation Dual 1-Inch Sensors & Native 8K Video

The Insta360 X6 pairs dual custom Sony 1/1.1" square CMOS sensors with high-precision optics to set a new benchmark for spherical video capture. It records native 360-degree video at 8K resolution up to 50 frames per second, ensuring sharp details, smooth motion playback, and maximum cropping flexibility during post-production reframing. Additionally, high-resolution 120-megapixel 360° photos allow creators to capture extreme landscape and environmental detail from every angle.

Triple AI Processing Engine

At the hardware core of the X6 is a triple AI chip system featuring a flagship 4nm 8-core CPU alongside dual dedicated imaging processors. This multi-chip architecture accelerates real-time image stitching, powers automated subject tracking through InstaFrame 2.0, and executes complex computational photography tasks directly in-camera. The high-speed processing pipeline significantly reduces export times when rendering high-bitrate 8K footage on mobile or desktop devices.

Low-Light PureVideo & Dolby Vision Support

Low-light and contrast-heavy scenarios are managed through PureVideo mode, which combines dual ambient light sensors with AdaptiveTone 2.0 processing. The camera delivers up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range, suppressing digital noise while retaining fine detail in shadows and bright highlights. Native Dolby Vision recording and 10-bit I-Log color profiles give videographers extensive dynamic range and color grading flexibility for high-end video workflows.

3-in-1 Shooting Versatility

Beyond 360-degree capture, the Insta360 X6 transforms into a standard single-lens flat action camera capable of recording 5K video at 60fps and high-frame-rate 4K at 120fps with a 170-degree field of view. Users can easily toggle between 360° shoot-first-frame-later mode, AI-driven single-lens tracking, and specialized creative modes such as 16K time-lapses or 8K 100fps Bullet Time sequences.

Upgraded Battery Life & Rapid Fast Charging

Powered by a high-capacity 2,600 mAh Xtreme battery, the camera supports extended recording sessions of up to 140 minutes in continuous 8K at 30fps. Advanced fast-charging capabilities over USB-C allow the battery to reach an 80% charge in 24 minutes, minimizing downtime during fast-paced outdoor shoots or event coverage.

Integrated 47GB Storage & Thermal Management

To prevent missed shots from card errors or forgotten media, the camera includes 47 GB of fast onboard storage alongside a standard microSD card slot (supporting UHS-I V30+ cards). Heat generated during prolonged high-bitrate 8K recording is dissipated by a Star-Ridge thermal cooling system, which channels heat away from core electronics to ensure continuous operation without thermal throttling.

Rugged 20-Meter Native Waterproofing

Built for extreme action and water sports, the Midnight Black body carries an IP68 rating and is natively waterproof down to 20 meters (66 feet) without an external dive housing. Updated Replaceable Lens Guards 2.0 protect the optical glass against impacts and abrasion, while a four-microphone array with wind-reduction technology records clear 360° spatial audio.

Complete Essentials Bundle Accessories

The Essentials Bundle provides a complete turn-key kit for creators, including the Insta360 X6 camera, the 2,600 mAh Xtreme battery, and an Invisible Selfie Stick that automatically stitches out of 360° video frames. The bundle also features Lens Guards 2.0, a protective lens cap, a heavy-duty utility pouch, and a high-speed USB-C data cable for immediate use straight out of the box.
